Inspector

The Inspector is one of the core functionalities in Flixier. This component dynamically changes based on the type of files you select in the timeline. For example inspector settings for a video are different from Inspector settings for text.

Inspector Settings for Video

When you click on a clip in the timeline you will be able to access the following features in the Inspector:

  • Video Transform - enables you to change position, video speed, crop and more
  • Effects - here you can apply effects like Zoom, Green Screen, Blur and more
  • Color - this tab let's you color correct your video, settings include Brightness, Contrast, Gamma and more
  • Audio - for clips with audio tracks you will be able to change the volume and detach the audio entirely from the video

Inspector Settings for Audio

Clicking on an audio clip in the timeline will reveal the following settings in the inspector:

  • Audio Fade In/Out - let's you add a fade in/out effect to your audio
  • Audio Volume - change the volume of your audio
  • Playback Speed - change the speed at which the audio plays, you can use the slider or the pre-set buttons (x0.5, x1, x1.5, x2)

Inspector Settings for Images

When you click on an image in the timeline you will be able to access the following features in the Inspector:

  • Video Transform - enables you to change position, scale, crop and more
  • Effects - here you can apply effects like Zoom, Green Screen, Blur and more
  • Color - this tab let's you color correct your image, settings include Brightness, Contrast, Gamma and more.

Inspector Settings for Simple Text

Clicking on a Simple Text in the timeline or canvas will select it and show it's settings in the inspector which include:

  • Text position - settings include position, rotation, perspective and opacity
  • Text properties - settings include Font, Text Weight, Font Size and many more

Inspector Settings for Motion Titles, Overlays and CTAs

These animated objects all share the same inspector settings when selected in the Inspector or Video Canvas.

  • Animation - enables you to change position, scale, and perspective. Additionaly here you will find the Edit Animation button which let's you personalize it to your liking.
  • Effects - here you can apply effects like Zoom, Green Screen, Blur and more
  • Color - this tab let's you color correct your image, settings include Brightness, Contrast, Gamma and more.

Inspector Settings for Shapes

When you select a shape by clicking on it either in the timeline or video canvas the inspector will adjust to show you:

  • Shape Settings - position, scale rotation
  • Shape properties - color, stroke, border and shadow
