How can I turn a video into a GIF?

Select, import or upload a video

Edit the video

If your chosen video is too big, fast, slow or needs some color touch-ups and adjustments, make sure to edit it until it has the length, playback speed and look you want it to.

Convert and download

This is the part that converts your video into a fresh, new GIF. Click on the blue “Export” button in the top right corner of the screen and choose the “GIF” option from the “Save as…” menu. Alternatively, if you want it to have a specific frame rate between 10, 20 or 25 frames per second, go back to the “Projects” page, right click the video you worked on and select “Export video”. Once the new menu opens up, select the “Save as: GIF” option, then choose one of the FPS presets and click the blue “Export Video” button to download your GIF.
