How to Create an Amazon Storefront as an Influencer
Published on April 2, 2025

Amazon is like a city contained within a single block, a big .com block.
Making real money on Amazon just by recommending your favorite products? Sounds like a dream, but it’s actually very real, thanks to the Amazon Influencer Program.
Here’s how it works: You brew your morning coffee, film a quick TikTok using your new coffee maker, and casually drop a link to your Amazon storefront. And bam, every time someone buys, you get a cut. No more answering the endless “Where can I buy this? or “What’s the brand?”. You simply send your followers to your Amazon storefront and get even more appreciation for the no-hassle shopping experience that you offered them in 30 seconds.
No complicated setups, no inventory overload. Just you, making quality content and delivering an easier way for your followers to shop your favs.Win-win-win.

But what exactly is an Amazon Storefront? And how do you actually set up one? Are there any less-known tips to maximize your earnings?
This guide breaks it all down so you can start cashing in on your content.
What are Amazon storefronts?
You've probably heard it thousands of times on TikTok, Instagram, or any other social media platform: "All products are linked in my Amazon storefront," right? But what exactly is that?
It's a personalized digital shop(on Amazon) where you can add products from the Amazon store that you use, love, and would like to recommend to others.
To clarify, you don't need a website or struggle to get traffic. Amazon handles that part for you.
At its core, an Amazon storefront's goal is to inspire others in their shopping decisions. The best part? You earn a commission(ranging from 1% up to even 20%) for each trusting swap that leads to an Amazon purchase.
Below are the standard commissions income rates. There is also special commission income for Bounty Events, prime video channel subscription homepages, prime video channels paid memberships and trade-in programs.

It resembles a stand-alone website page and functions as one but minus the inventory chaos, shipping hassle, and SEO headaches.
It's your central hub of the most trusted products, displaying them in one place and making it easy for your audience to shop for them. You only have to bring the influence. It is a win-win for you, your audience, and Amazon.
How to set up an Amazon storefront
Before getting to the actual steps of setting up your own Amazon storefront, let's talk requirements because not everyone can waltz in and start making money:
☑️You must have an online presence on either of these social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, or TikTok.
*For Instagram and Facebook accounts, you need a business account in order to qualify.
☑️Although they do not stipulate the exact follower count needed to sign up for the Amazon influencer program, they look at numbers along with other engagement metrics. Our strong bet is a minimum of 1000 engaged followers who like, comment on, and share your content.
☑️You must be over the age of 18 or older to apply.
Marking all the boxes above? Great! Now, let's set up your account.
Step 1: Join the Amazon Influencer Program

To join the Amazon Influencer Program, you need to go to the Amazon Influencer Program website and create an account in the associated central or use your existing one.
Good to know: Once you get accepted, you need to update your contact info, set up your preferences and tax information to actually get paid, and stay in the loop on updates and earnings.
Step 2: Update your page

Once you've been accepted, go to your Influencer Storefront and click "Manage my Storefront"(if you are on the desk). On mobile, go to "Your Account," select "Your Storefront," tap "Edit my Storefront," and then "Update Your Page." Now:
- Profile photo: You can update your profile photo by either uploading an existing one from your Photo Library or snapping a new one.
- Page title: Add a page title to help your audience identify you quickly. This could be your brand's name, your actual name, or your social handle. You are not allowed to include the name of any social media network or Amazon trademark, so "Alice's TikTok finds" won't fly, but "Alice's Viral Finds" works.
- Page tagline: Usually, the page tagline describes what your page is about, "Alice's latest favorite products" is a solid example.
Step 3: Save your changes
Hit the "Save" button to update your changes.
Good to know: Amazon now allows you to add links to your social media profiles on your Storefront, making it easy for your audience to connect with you.
Now that your Amazon Storefront is live let's talk design, and how to make it shoppable. Keep reading.
Design your Storefront

Before going into the looks of your storefront you need to understand how this program works. Thankfully, Amazon makes it ridiculously easy to create commissionable links straight from the platform.
- Want to share your storefront page or Idea List? Tap the Share icon at the top right corner of your Storefront or Idea List page. Copy, then paste it wherever you want it.
- Looking to share your uploaded shoppable photos or videos? Simply click on the post and tap the Share icon. Copy-paste it where you want to share it.
You have three linking strategies to spread the word:
- Link directly to the product in your content: Posting a reel or story about your favorite coffee brewer? Your followers see it in action, love it, and with one tap, they're buying it. Every qualifying purchase puts money in your pocket.
- Add the link to your Influencer Storefront directly in your bio: Ever heard the "check the link in bio" line on Reels or TikTok? Well, that's how influencers send followers straight to their Amazon Storefront. No more endless Google searches for "Where did X influencer get that fitness tank?." Now, it's just a one-click shopping experience during your "3-minutes-abs-at-home" workout.
- Group and share your favorite products: Got a go-to list of must-haves 2025 summer skincare products? Or your ultimate home office setup? Just organize them into Idea Lists, then share them through affiliate links cleverly placed within your articles, landing pages, newsletters, or anywhere your audience hangs out.
Now that we've covered the linking basics let's upload shoppable videos, photos, and Idea Lists to your Storefront. People don't buy just on links. They buy through the experience you create.
You need to make it engaging, useful, and easy for them to say "Add to Cart".
Designing your Storefront – Where the magic happens
Set up a design that converts
Your Amazon Storefront isn't just a page; it's an experience altogether. A digital space where trust meets strategy, and a well-crafted storefront design that turns casual browsers into loyal buyers. Make it look too polished, and it feels staged, and trust vanishes. Looking too messy and credibility fades fast.
So, before hitting "Publish," ask yourself:
- Does the Storefront reflect me? Do these products match my lifestyle, values, and personal brand?
- Is everything carefully organized? Are my picks strategically grouped into clear, easy-to-find lists?
- Are they presented in an engaging way? Or does it look like a random shopping page?
Your Storefront should be clear, clean, user-friendly, and built with intention.
The products that work
It's all magic and fairies until someone actually buys. Your audience trusts you, so don't list random products. Build collections that pass the real-life test. Instead of "I'll take a risk and try this product she recommends," aim for "I don't even need to think twice. I know she shares only the good stuff."
Commission mastery
As we've already stated, commission varies. Your earnings fluctuate not only based on the sales you make but also on the commission rate hierarchy. So play smart:
- Know high-commission categories and plan content around them.
- Spot major sale events like Prime Day, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday.
- Bundle complementary products. That viral air fryer might need this "4 Ingredients Dinner Recipes".
Create content that deserves to be watched
Posting a product photo straight from an Amazon listing? That's screaming "I really don't care about this, I just want a commission!" Instead:
- Put the time and effort into producing appealing videos and high-quality photos. Your audience expects to see the product you're talking about in your environment(home, office, desk, kitchen, etc.).
- Use catchy sounds, captivating transitions, and captions. Truth is, most of us are scrolling with the sound off, especially when looking for products online.
Show products in action. Does that eco-friendly skincare cream give results? Prove it.
Streamline workflow
Content burnout is real. It's hard to stay consistent every day, so plan ahead. Batch-create videos and photos. Use scheduling tools to keep posting regularly. Stay consistent so your audience always sees fresh content when scrolling through their feed.
But what type of content can you make?
Simply put, if you have an online audience, you can be part of the Amazon Influencer program and create:
- In-depth reviews, tutorials, and product comparisons on YouTube.
- Reels or short-form clips featuring product recommendations on Instagram and TikTok.
- Write articles featuring product lists, pros and cons, and personal experiences on your blog.
- Discuss products and trends while giving personal insights on podcasts.
- Create visual inspiration boards with direct product links on Pinterest.
- Livestream product demos and Q&A sessions on Amazon Live.
But with millions of #FoundItOnAmazon videos out there, how do you make yours the one that converts?
Thoughtfully showcases – Don't just post random products from Amazon. If you're recommending a massage roller, do you really use it daily? Show how it fits into your routine.
Top picks and lists – "Best 5 travel gadgets," "Top 3 skincare must-haves this summer", these curated lists save us time and establish trust.
In depth how-to and explainer videos—YouTube is the playground for these types of tutorials and guides. Whether it's "How to set up a Canon camera" or "How to style a Dyson Airwrap," people search for these before and after buying.
Life hacks and trends – TikTok feeds are flooded with "too-good-to-be-true" hacks, and we love them watching. If there is a product that makes life easier, faster, or more fun, show it off creatively.
Discounts and special offers—Black Friday finds, Cyber Monday steals, or seasonal trends(must-have gifts for Christmas 2025)—can skyrocket conversions. These deals drive urgency and trigger buying decisions.
Build or maintain a coherent brand
Do you have a brand strategy? One that people trust? If one day you're promoting fitness gear and the next hyping kitchen gadgets, your audience might check out.
So, how do you build trust, keeping it real and staying consistent?
Find your niche, but keep it YOU. We follow genuine influencers. Are you into home organization and tidying up? Then, your audience expects practical finds, not random gaming accessories that are trending on TikTok. Your niche should align with your lifestyle so your recommendations feel natural, not forced.
Stay true to your (life)style. Are you the fun, lively influencer? Or maybe calm, informative, and practical? Your tone should be the same across all platforms. Your audience should be able to recognize your content instantly, whether it's a TikTok, Instagram Story, or Amazon Live session.
Balance personal with sponsored content. If all you do is sell, people will tune out. Mix behind-the-scenes content and genuine personal experiences, or why not, product fails. Being real will always beat being perfect.
Engage humanly. Reply to comments, ask for opinions, and share your honest take on products you tried. The more relatable you are, the more your audience will trust and buy from you.
Brand consistency isn't just about looking pretty or how awesome your products are. It's all about creating that warm, fuzzy feeling where your audience feels like they really know you and can trust you! Grow authenticity to turn your opinions into a sales-driving force.
Measure your results
Your Amazon Storefront isn't a "set it and forget it" deal. It's not about one-time wins; it's about building a sustainable business model that delivers value long after the first sale.
Analyze and optimize
Your audience doesn't just test the product; they test your content. Metrics like comments and saved posts are the main indicators of your strategy's success. Are people engaging with your posts through comments and saves? Is your content leading to actual sales? What is your best-performing type of content? Double down on what already works.
