How do you censor a video?

Upload
Upload the video that you’re looking to censor to your Flixier library. You can choose a video from your computer, bring one over from cloud storage services like Google Photos or Dropbox, paste in a YouTube link or import your Twitch clips, Highlights and VODs.

Censor
Double click on your video to add it to the Timeline. Then, go to the Shapes tab on the left side of the screen and click on the Add Square Mask button. Select the mask on the timeline and blur or pixelate the area by clicking on the appropriate option on the right side of the screen. You can reposition the mask by moving it around with the mouse button and resize it using the controls on its edge. To change when it comes up on screen and how long it lasts, drag on its edges in the timeline.
If you want to censor your video with a black bar, just click on the square icon in the shapes tab, give it a black Fill Color using the right hand menu and use your mouse to resize and reposition it.

Export
Once you’ve finished censoring your video, click on the Export button in the top right corner, then click again on Export and Download. Flixier will take a couple of minutes to process your video and then the censored clip will be downloaded to your computer.

How do you bleep out a swearing video?
You can use Flixier to bleep out swearing in a video. Just upload the video along with the beeping sound effect to your Personal Library. Drag the video down to the Timeline, right click on it and detach the audio. Then, cut out all of the swearing from the audio track and add in your bleep sound effect to fill in the gaps. You can trim the length of the bleep by dragging on its edges in the timeline.
Is it safe to blur sensitive information in a video?
While blurring or pixelating sensitive content in a video is enough in most cases, the information can still be revealed using certain un-censoring algorithms. If you want to make sure that your confidential information is safe, use black bars instead.
How do you add a comedic censoring effect to your video?
Here’s how you can add a funny censorship effect to your videos with Flixier. By adding a black rectangle and placing it over your character’s mouth. Then, using the text tool, overlap some text containing special characters such as @!#%. Use the Timeline to synchronize the two elements together. If you want to go further, you can cut out audio when your character is supposed to swear and replace it with a beeping sound effect.
