Which subtitle formats can I convert between?
Flixier converts between SRT, VTT, STL, SBV, SUB, ASS, DXFP, TTML, and plain text, so you can move your subtitles to whichever format your platform or player needs.
What is the difference between SRT, ASS, and SSA?
SRT is the simplest format, with just timing and plain text. ASS and SSA both support styling like fonts, colors, and positioning, with ASS being the newer, more advanced version of SSA.
Will converting keep my timecodes?
Yes. Converting between formats keeps your original timing intact, so your subtitles stay in sync with your video regardless of which format you convert to.
Can I convert a subtitle file to plain text?
Yes. Convert your SRT or VTT file to plain text to strip out the timecodes and formatting, leaving just the readable subtitle content behind.
Is there a file size limit?
There's no separate file size limit for subtitle conversion. The limits that apply are the same as your Flixier plan overall. The free plan allows for up to 2GB of storage, 10 minutes of exports, and 5 minutes of subtitles per month.
