How to split a GIF?
Click on Get Started to open Flixier in your web browser. If the GIF you want to split is already on your computer, all you need to do is drag it over to Flixier. You can also use any of the import options listed there to bring your GIF over from cloud storage. If you want to split a GIF that’s on GIPHY, you can close the import menu and open the Stock tab to search for your GIF.
Drag your GIF down to the timeline at the bottom of the screen. Use the left mouse button to move the playhead to the right timestamp and then press the Cut button (or the S key on your keyboard) to split your GIF into two parts. You can do this as many times as you want and delete the unwanted parts by right clicking on them and using the Delete option. You can also add images, text, transitions and even sound to your GIFs.
When you’re done splitting your GIF, click the Export button in the top right corner of your screen. Use the Format dropdown list to choose whether you want to save your final project as a GIF or as a video and then press on Export and Download. Your file will be processed in a few seconds and then it will be saved to your computer.

You can use Flixier to extract a frame from a GIF and save it to your computer as a single image. All you need to do is to right click on the canvas and select Export Current Frame. The frame will be saved to your computer as a .PNG image.
