Add captions to your GIFs easily
Use Flixier’s powerful text tools to add funny or insightful captions to your GIFs. You can choose from over 2000 built-in fonts and customize everything from the size to the text background color and stroke. You can also animate your text with special text transitions as well as keyframes.
Create a looping GIF complete with audio
Of course, GIFs don’t have audio by default, but you can remedy that using Flixier! Make your GIF loop, then add music, sound effects or a voice over easily by dragging it to the timeline. When you’re done, click the Export button and save the whole thing as an MP4. You’ll notice your file size has likely decreased, and MP4 is compatible with more platforms than GIFs.
Cut and trim your GIFs to create perfect loops
Our precise timeline makes it easy to cut GIFs or trim them in order to create perfect loops. All you need to do is drag the playhead to the right place in the GIF and then click the Cut button or press S on your keyboard in order to split it at the playhead. To trim a GIF, you can also just drag on its end in the timeline.
Click on Get Started to open Flixier in your web browser and then drag the GIF from your computer over to the Import menu. You can also bring over GIFs from Google Photos, Dropbox and other cloud storage services.
Drag your GIF from the library down to the timeline at the bottom of the screen. Select it, go to the Video tab on the right side and choose the number of times that you want your video to loop. If you need it to repeat more than four times, choose the Custom option and increase the number manually.
When you’re done looping your GIF, click the Export button in the top right corner of the screen. Select GIF from the drop-down menu and then click on Export and Download.

Choose a custom frame rate and resolution
Flixier allows you to resize your GIF and adjust the frame rate in order to reduce file size and make sure your image loads quickly enough in web browsers. To adjust this, export your file as a GIF and then use the drop-down menu to choose a new frame rate.

I’ve been looking for a solution like Flixier for years. Now that my virtual team and I can edit projects together on the cloud with Flixier, it tripled my company’s video output! Super easy to use and unbelievably quick exports.
My main criteria for an editor was that the interface is familiar and most importantly that the renders were in the cloud and super fast. Flixier more than delivered in both. I've now been using it daily to edit Facebook videos for my 1M follower page.
I'm so relieved I found Flixier. I have a YouTube channel with over 700k subscribers and Flixier allows me to collaborate seamlessly with my team, they can work from any device at any time plus, renders are cloud powered and super super fast on any computer.
Frequently asked questions.
Frequently Asked Questions
How do you make a GIF loop continuously?
GIF images loop continuously by default. If your GIF doesn’t loop when shared online, that’s because of the host website. You can add a couple more loops to the GIF using a tool like Flixier, but that will significantly increase the size of your GIF files.
Why do some GIFs not loop?
If a GIF doesn’t loop, that’s because the website where the GIF is shared does not support GIF looping. This might also be caused by the file being too large.
How long can a GIF run?
A GIF can loop forever, as long as the site or program you’re using to view it allows for it.
Why don’t GIFs always play?
If a GIF doesn’t play, it might be because the website you’re using to share it is not compatible with GIFs, or because your device is not compatible with the file format.
