Select a Background Color
To set a simple background for your project, add one video or image to your media library. Once it's uploaded, drag it to your timeline. If it’s an image, you can extend it by dragging it by its edge. If it’s a video, you can duplicate it by looping it. Go to the properties menu on your right side, on the video tab and scroll down to the Loop Video option. Click it, then choose how many times you want your video to loop.
If you would like to select a simple background color, make sure nothing is selected on the timeline or canvas so you can see the project settings, and select the background color in the properties menu on the right side of the screen.
You can select a solid color, use the eyedropper to pick a color from one of your media files, or manually enter a hex color code. You can also select a gradient color background. Select one point in the bar, choose a color, then select the other point and another. A gradient between those two colors will be created. You can adjust the color intensity by moving the points along the bar. The rotation of the gradient can be changed by moving the slider just below the gradient slider bar.
You will be able to save your most used colors in both the Solid and Gradient options. Two sets of saved colors will be available, your colors and your team’s.

Use Stock Images, Audio, Videos and GIFs Directly From Flixier
To access stock footage, such as images, GIFs, and videos, you need to click on the Stock button in the library (located on the left side of the screen). From here, you will be able to select between videos, images, and gifs.
To search for your desired stock subject, enter a stock keyword, and multiple stock media files related to that keyword will be shown.
To access stock audio, click on the Audio button in the library (located on the left side of the screen). At the top of the library panel, you can search for the music or sound effect you want.
When you find the desired media, just drag and drop it on the timeline to use it in your project.
Understanding Uploading & Transcoding
Uploading is the process of sending data from your computer or device to another computer, often a server, in our case, Flixier. It involves transferring files over a network, typically the Internet. When you upload a file, you are making a copy of it and sending it to another computer or server for storage, editing, or sharing.
Transcoding is the process of converting video and image files from one format to another. This conversion allows for easier file manipulation and ensures compatibility with various viewing and editing platforms. By reducing file size while maintaining acceptable quality, transcoding makes the content more suitable for specific devices or purposes.
The transcoding process will begin once you upload your media files to Flixier. This step is necessary because different media formats and resolutions require specific encoding settings for optimal editing and viewing.
By transcoding uploaded media files, Flixier ensures users can work with their content seamlessly, regardless of the original format or resolution. This process optimizes files for editing and enables users to manipulate and enhance their videos easily.
Uploading and transcoding can take longer depending on several factors, such as file size, internet connection, concurrent processes, and encoding complexity.
To help reduce upload time in Flixier, ensure you have a stable, high-speed internet connection. A faster internet connection will facilitate quicker uploads and downloads.
Your files will start uploading to our cloud service. In most cases, you can start editing your video files right away.
