In Flixier, you have access to various basic functions that can enhance the quality of your videos, including brightness, contrast, and the sharpness filter. You can’t upscale your video resolution through Flixier yet, but there are still methods to refine your video quality!
On the “Library tab” on the left side of the screen, there are two blue buttons, “Record” and “Import”. Click on the blue Import button and select from where you want to upload, then select the files you want to add to Flixier. Once it has been uploaded, drag it to your timeline.
These features will be available in the color tab on the right properties menu after you select a photo or video media file by clicking on it in the timeline. You will be able to manually choose the intensity of each feature with the help of a slider.
Here's how each of these functions can improve your videos:
Brightness
Adjusting the brightness of a video can make it appear clearer and more vibrant. Increasing the brightness can help enhance visibility in darker scenes, while decreasing it can reduce overexposure in brighter areas. By finding the right balance, you can improve the overall visual quality of your video.
You can find the brightness slider by selecting the clip in your timeline and clicking on the Color tab in the Properties menu. The brightness slider is set by default at 100%. If you slide it to the left, you’ll darken the selected clip. If you slide it to the right, you will brighten your clip.
Contrast
Modifying the contrast allows you to adjust the difference between the lightest and darkest parts of your video. Increasing the contrast can make colors appear more pronounced and improve the overall depth and clarity. Decreasing the contrast can help soften the image and reduce harshness.
You can find the contrast slider by selecting the clip in your timeline and clicking on the Color tab in the Properties menu. The contrast slider is set by default at 100%. If you slide it to the left, you’ll decrease the contrast of the clip. If you slide it to the right, you will increase the contrast of the clip.
Sharpness
The sharpness filter in Flixier allows you to enhance the clarity and detail of your video. It adds crispness to edges and fine textures, resulting in a more defined and polished look. Adjusting the sharpness can make the image appear sharper and more refined, particularly in scenes with intricate details.
You can find the sharpen filter by selecting the clip in your timeline and clicking on the Color tab in the Properties menu.
