Extract Audio from Video

Extracting the audio track from a video clip is a quick, seamless process in Flixier. Whether you want to isolate a voiceover, save a music track, or completely remove the original video to replace it with fresh visuals, you can separate and download your audio in just a few clicks.

How to Extract Audio from Your Video

Step 1: Import Your Video

Open your project in the Flixier editor and click the Import button on the left panel. You can upload video files directly from your computer or pull them instantly from integrated cloud storage platforms like Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, and more.

Step 2: Add to the Timeline

Once your video finishes uploading to your library, drag and drop the clip down onto the timeline at the bottom of the screen.

Step 3: Detach the Audio

Right-click on the video clip in your timeline and select Detach Audio from the context menu. This action instantly separates the audio track from the visual track, creating a brand new, independent audio layer directly beneath your video.

Step 4: Remove the Video Track (Optional)

If you only want the raw audio and no longer need the visuals, click on the video clip layer in the timeline to highlight it, and press the Delete key on your keyboard.
