Screen Recorder

With Flixier's Screen Recorder, you can effortlessly capture your screen and create high-quality recordings that are easy to edit straight in the timeline.

Open Flixier’s dashboard and tap the Record button. 

In the bottom left section of the screen you’ll be able to select what type of recording you need. Options include:

• Cam only
• Screen & cam
• Screen only
• Audio only

Then, from left to right, you have the following options:

• Mute
• Stop camera
• Record
• Share screen
• Teleprompter
• Layout

Tip: The teleprompter is a built-in Flixier recording feature that displays scrolling text, allowing you to read your script while maintaining eye contact with your webcam.

Record With Flixier Right Inside the Timeline

When you open the record menu, you’ll have 6 different choices: Record your voice, Record your screen, Split screen, Record yourself, Webcam insert (right) and Webcam insert (left). 

Record Your Webcam

1. Click the blue Import or Record button.
2. Click on the Records button.
3. Select the Record yourself layout option.
4. A preview with your webcam will open, featuring a control bar at the bottom of the screen.
5. Click the upward arrow next to the microphone icon to select your audio input device.
6. Click the upward arrow next to the camera icon to select your webcam device.
7. Click the Layout button to adjust the shape and style of your camera frame. 
8. You can use the far-left button to toggle your recording mode between Screen & Cam, Screen Only, Cam Only, and Audio Only.
9. The control bar also provides options to Share screen, open a Teleprompter, or Mirror camera.
10. If you press the red record button in the middle of the control bar, the recording will start after 3 seconds. You can also minimize your webcam preview.
11. After you’re done, press the end button at the bottom of your preview, and you will have the option to repeat the recording, download it, or save it to the project.
12. Once you save the recording, you will find it in your media library.

Record Your Screen

1. Click the blue Import or Record button.
2. Click on the Records button.
3. Select the Record your screen option.
4. A pop-up menu will appear, allowing you to choose exactly what to record: a browser window or your entire screen. Select one of them and click on Share.
5. A preview of your screen will open, featuring a control bar at the bottom.
6. Click the upward arrow next to the microphone icon to select your audio input device.
7. You can use the far-left button to verify or toggle your recording mode (making sure it is set to Screen Only or switching to Screen & Cam if you change your mind).
8. The control bar also provides options to adjust your screen sharing settings via the Share screen button, open a Teleprompter, or adjust the Layout.
9. If you press the red record button in the middle of the control bar, the recording will start after 3 seconds.
10. To end your recording, click the red button at the bottom middle of your preview.
11. After you’re done, press the red button at the bottom middle of your preview, and you will have the option to repeat the recording, download it, or save it to the project.
12. Once you save the recording, you will find it in your media library.
