Export, Download and Publish your video
Export and Download
When you finish editing a video, you can click on the blue “Export” button located in the upper right corner of the editing screen, and a small window will pop up to guide you through the export process.
On that window, you can choose from the format options: Video (.mp4), Audio (.mp3) and GIF.
The last step is to press the “Export and Download” button.
Your video will start exporting and automatically download to your computer when ready.
You can also close the browser and the export will continue processing on our servers!
In case you do not have an account yet, we advise you to add your name and email address in the window that shows up after pressing “Export”, so you can come back to the export later and find it in the dashboard.
To find your export, go to the main dashboard and select the “Exports” tab where you will be able to see the export processing. Usually, it takes about 3 minutes for the render process to finish and then you can click on the three dots below your export and download it.
After the export is completed, a message will appear to let you know about it. At this point you get the option to also publish it directly to other cloud destinations, saving you a lot of time by skipping unnecessary downloads or uploads.
Publishing
With Flixier's publish feature, you can easily publish your finished projects directly to various social media platforms.
This means that instead of manually downloading your project and uploading it to each platform separately, you can streamline your workflow and save time by doing it all in one place.
Flixier currently supports direct publishing to popular platforms such as YouTube, Vimeo, Facebook, and more.
When your export has been completed, a pop-up page will appear and the project will automatically be downloaded to your computer. On the same page, you can easily publish your project to Youtube, Facebook, TikTok, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, Vimeo, or Flowplayer.
To publish content directly to YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, OneDrive, Flowplayer, Vimeo, Google Drive or Dropbox; you first need to connect your Flixier account with those services. You will only need to connect once, and once you’re connected, you can toggle the buttons to export on the respective platforms.
A copy of your exported video will remain in your exports tab as well, and you will be able to download that copy.
You can publish to multiple destinations at the same time. Always verify if the platforms where you’d like your project published are toggled on. Your publishing options will not remain saved in order to avoid accidental posts on social media.
If you have a past export that you would like to publish now, just head over to the Exports tab in your main dashboard, click on the three dots right on the project’s right corner, select Publish, and you will see the same interface as before!
Publishing an export will not take time off of your monthly export time quota.
The Export Process
The time it takes to export your video depends on various factors such as the length of the video, the complexity of the edits, and the selected export settings. Generally, exporting a video can take a few minutes to process, but don't worry if it takes longer than that.
If an export takes longer, don’t try to export it again, it may take even longer and generate issues down the line.
In some cases, an export may encounter issues and fail to complete successfully.
If you encounter a failed export, don't worry! In the event of a failed export, you will receive an email. Reach out to us by chat or by email at [email protected] with the name of the export! Please note that the export failure must be kept intact so our engineers can fix it!
