Export, Download and Publish Your Video
When you finish editing a video, click on the blue Export button located in the upper right corner of the editing screen. A small window will pop up to guide you through the export process.
On that window, you can choose what to export the file as by selecting one of the format tabs: Video, Audio, or GIF.
- If you select GIF, you can additionally choose your GIF Frame Rate (25 fps, 20 fps, or 10 fps).
Check the box that says Download immediately after export if you want the file to save to your computer once it’s ready automatically.
Finally, press the large blue Export Video, Export Audio, or Export GIF button at the bottom of the window to begin rendering.
Your project will start exporting. A progress screen will display the percentage and estimated time remaining, but you can safely navigate away or close the browser entirely, and the export will continue processing in the background.
We will send you an email and a notification when it is ready. In case you don’t have an account yet, we advise you to add your name and email address in the window that shows up after pressing export so you can come back to it later.
To find a previous export, go to the main dashboard and select the Exports tab under your Recents section. Here you will be able to see a grid of your previous exports, complete with details like resolution, framerate, and duration. Clicking on a video here will open the Publish menu.
Publishing
With Flixier's publish feature, you can easily push your finished projects directly to various cloud destinations and social media platforms. This means that instead of manually downloading your project and uploading it to each platform separately, you can streamline your workflow and save time by doing it all in one place.
Once your export has completed (or when you click on a past export from your dashboard), the post-export menu will appear. This screen displays a quick preview of your video alongside basic information like file size, duration, and resolution on the left side.
On the right side, you can save a local copy by clicking Download under the Save to local section. Below that, you will find the Publish to: section. Flixier currently supports direct publishing to:
- Google Drive
- YouTube
- TikTok
- Dropbox
- DejaCast
- OneDrive
- Vimeo
- Flowplayer
To publish content directly to these destinations, you first need to connect your Flixier account with those services. Click on a destination to authorize it. Once you are connected, you can seamlessly push your export to the respective platforms.
Publishing an export will not take time off of your monthly export time quota.
Below the publishing options, you will also find a Share or embed video section. Click Get Link to generate a direct URL for your video, which allows you to quickly Copy the link, Send via e-mail, or generate an Embed Video code.
The Export Process
The time it takes to export your video depends on various factors such as the length of the video, the complexity of the edits, and the selected export settings. Generally, exporting a video can take a few minutes to process, but don't worry if it takes longer than that.
If an export takes longer, don’t try to export it again; it may take even longer and generate issues down the line.
In some cases, an export may encounter issues and fail to complete successfully.
If you encounter a failed export, don't worry. In the event of a failed export, you will receive an email. Reach out to us by chat or by email at support@flixier.com with the name of the export. Please note that the export failure must be kept intact so our engineers can fix it.
