AI Image to Video

Using the AI Image to Video tool, you can upload a picture and use text prompts to animate it perfectly. Here is exactly how to do it.

Step 1: Access the AI Video Tool

You can launch the AI video generator directly from your main dashboard or from inside the editor. Make sure the Video tab is selected at the top of the generation window.

  • From the Dashboard: Click the large Generate button at the top of your Home screen. Alternatively, you can navigate to the All Tools tab on the left menu and click on Create Videos from Images.
  • From the Editor: Open any active project and click on the Generate tab on the left-side menu.

Step 2: Add Your Starting Image

Click the Start frame icon (the small picture button on the left side of the text box). A dropdown menu will appear, giving you options to add your image:

  • Upload from device: Browse your computer for a new picture file.
  • Select from library: Pick an image saved in your Flixier media library.

If you are using the tool inside an active project, you will also see options to Choose from timeline or Capture from canvas.

Step 3: Write Your Prompt

Click into the text box that says "Describe your video..." and type out exactly how you want your image to animate. Describe the action, movement, or visual changes you want to see.

Tip: You can click the Enhance button on the right side of the text box to have the AI automatically improve and expand your prompt for a better result.

Step 4: Configure Your Settings

Look at the bottom row of the window to configure your exact video settings before generating.

  • AI Model: Click the first button on the left to pick your preferred generation model from a list of options like Veo 3 or Kling Pro. You can view the specific credit cost per second for each model here.
  • Aspect Ratio: Choose between 16:9 (widescreen) or 9:16 (vertical portrait).
  • Resolution: Select either 720p or 1080p quality.
  • Duration: Pick how long you want the generated video to be.
  • Audio: Toggle the sound generation On or Off.

As you change these settings, keep an eye on the diamond icon on the far right. This displays exactly how many AI credits your generation will cost.

Step 5: Generate and Save

When you are happy with your prompt and settings, click the Generate button.

A progress screen will appear, letting you know your video is generating (you can click the blue Stop button here if you change your mind).

Once the process is finished, the window will update with a video player. Press play to preview your generated video.

Depending on where you started the tool, you can either click the blue + Add to Timeline button to drop the video straight into your project, open it in the editor, or directly download it to your device. If you want to tweak it and try again, simply click <- Try another prompt.
