Is Flixier Free?

Yes, Flixier offers a completely free plan so you can explore the editor, test out our AI tools, and create videos without ever entering a credit card. There are no hidden costs or surprise fees.

The Free plan is perfect for occasional editing or testing the waters, but it does come with specific monthly allowances and a few feature restrictions compared to our premium tiers.

What is Included in the Free Plan?

When you sign up for a free Flixier account, you automatically receive:

10 minutes of video export time per month.
5 minutes of auto-subtitle generation per month.
2 GB of cloud storage for your uploaded media.
500 AI Credits to test out our generative video, image, and audio models.
Access to the core Flixier Cloud Editor and basic motion text.
The ability to ask Eva (our AI editing assistant) for help.

What are the Limitations?

To keep the free plan free, we place a few strict restrictions on exported files and available assets:

The Flixier Watermark: All videos exported on the Free plan will feature a Flixier watermark. Upgrading to any paid plan removes this permanently.
Export Resolution: Free exports are capped at HD 720p. You’ll need a paid plan to export in Full HD (1080p) or 4K.
No Storyblocks Media: The Free plan includes a Limited stock library. This means you cannot use any premium Storyblocks media in your projects. Premium assets are clearly marked with a yellow diamond icon in the stock library tab.
No Add-ons: You cannot purchase additional AI credits, storage, or export time while on the Free tier.

How to Upgrade

If you hit your monthly limits, want to use Storyblocks media, or need to remove the watermark, you can upgrade your workspace at any time. Simply click the Settings & Billing button in your left-hand menu, navigate to the Subscription tab, and select a Starter, Creator, or Business plan to instantly unlock higher limits and premium features.
